The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 1 March 1973 by Harvest Records. A concept album, the themes of The Dark Side of the Moon explore conflict, greed, time, death, and mental illness.The sleeve, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Storm Thorgerson, following keyboardist Richard Wright’s request for a “simple and bold” design, representing the band’s lighting and the album’s themes.

The Dark Side of the Moon est le huitième album studio du groupe de rock progressif britannique Pink Floyd, paru le 1er mars 1973 aux États-Unis. Un album conceptuel abordant des thèmes universels, comme les conflits, la cupidité, le temps, la mort et la maladie mentale. La pochette, qui représente un spectre de prisme, a été conçue par Storm Thorgerson, suite à la demande du claviériste Richard Wright pour un design “simple et audacieux”, représentant l’éclairage du groupe et les thèmes de l’album.
